KYB and verification
Verification confirms the identity of the person or company using B4bit OTC. It is required to operate and helps protect the account.
Choose account type
Section titled “Choose account type”At the beginning, the dashboard asks you to choose between:
Individual: if you are a person operating with your own funds.Company: if you represent a company or legal entity.
If you had already started verification, the dashboard may let you continue where you left off.
Individual
Section titled “Individual”The individual flow has four steps:
Personal data: full name, date of birth, occupation, and country of birth.Address: country of residence, CURP, CLABE, address, and proof of address when applicable.Documents: email, RFC or tax identifier, tax certificate, official ID, and additional documents when required.Review: confirm that the information is correct and submit the file.
Documents you may need
Section titled “Documents you may need”- Legible official ID.
- Tax status certificate.
- Valid proof of address.
- CURP and RFC when applicable.
- Legal power of attorney if you act on behalf of a third party.
Company
Section titled “Company”The company flow also has four steps:
Company: legal name, country, company type, incorporation date, main activity, RFC, corporate CLABE, and incorporation document.Address: tax address and proof of address.Representatives: details of the people authorized to represent the company.Review: review the complete file and submit it.
Information you may need
Section titled “Information you may need”- Legal name and tax data of the company.
- Incorporation document.
- Corporate CLABE.
- Proof of tax address.
- Legal representative details.
- Official ID, tax documents, and proof of address for representatives.
- Ownership or control percentage when applicable.
After submitting verification
Section titled “After submitting verification”After you submit verification, the account enters review. You can return to the dashboard and wait for the corresponding notification.
If verification is approved, you can create conversions according to the conditions visible in your account. If corrections are required, the dashboard tells you to review the submitted information and complete the process again.
Tips to avoid rejection
Section titled “Tips to avoid rejection”- Upload legible, complete, and valid documents.
- Make sure names match your documents.
- Confirm that the CLABE has 18 digits.
- Verify that the address matches the proof of address.
- For companies, make sure representatives and percentages are complete.
- Do not submit blurry, cropped, or redacted images.
